I’m passionate about making service to others a cornerstone of our national culture and an indispensable part of the American experience.

I began my career serving in AmeriCorps through the VISTA program at the Institute for Emerging Issues. I later worked on “Service Year NC” — an impact community through Service Year Alliance. Today, you can find me working at the AmeriCorps headquarters (formerly the Corporation for National and Community Service). I’m lend a unique blend of design, data, and communication to my work, and I’m unafraid of challenging the status quo.

Following his service, I joined the team at Service Year NC, an initiative housed at the Institute for Emerging Issues. I worked on a team of 3 to craft the strategic plan, focusing on ways to build an equitable service ecosystem in the state of North Carolina and increase the number of corps members serving.

AmeriCorps HQ

2020 → 2022

I started at AmeriCorps headquarters as their 2020 Eli Segal Fellow. AmeriCorps (formerly the Corporation for National and Community Service) is the only federal agency tasked with elevating service and volunteerism in America. I advanced key cross-agency initiatives related to the transformation and sustainability plan, specifically developing the new AmeriCorps.gov site and implementing the [agency’s rebrand](https://www.nationalservice.gov/newsroom/press-release/2020/americorps-unveils-new-logo-new-name-agency#:~:text=WASHINGTON%2C D.C. – Today%2C the, service opportunities for all Americans.). In my second year as project manager for the CEO-immediate office, I led the agency through a year-long strategic planning process.

New Politics Leadership Academy

In spring 2019, I participated in the “Answering the Call” which invites military veterans and national service alumni to reflect on the values that compelled them to serve in the first place, and explore if they now feel called to serve their community through politics.

“There’s the world as it is, and the world as you wish it to be. My service year revealed the power and collective impact that we have to transform our communities for the better. I’m inspired by the passion, dedication, and grit that AmeriCorps members and alumni demonstrate every day to get things done for America.”
